Stretching from Chattanooga to Bristol along the North Carolina border, the Cherokee National Forest encompasses approximately 640,000 acres in the scenic Southern Appalachians. Home to more than 20,000 species of plants and animals, the forest is a haven for recreational activities such as camping, fishing, hiking, kayaking and picnicking.
